The body is a wondrous and complex “machine.” As such, there are many elements that contribute to the optimum function of that machine. In addition to the best nutrition choices, you must also exercise, stop (or never start) smoking, limit your alcohol intake, and limit your exposure to environmental hazards. You must also become very intentional about what, when and how much you eat because they are all a part of nutrition and wellness.
However, March is Nutrition Month and the focus here is on the benefits of good nutrition on your wellness.
Nutrition is a huge factor in the function of most of our organs. Without proper nutrition the body begins to breakdown and allows disease to set in. Consequently, it is known that proper nutrition and wellness go hand in hand.
